[读书笔记] 丁尼生 《尤利西斯》 节选

本杰明格雷厄姆八十岁生日爬梯上对儿孙们做了个演讲,演讲最后以这一段诗作结尾。这首诗是写老年的,不过我看了后觉得很受激励,就抄录下来以作自勉:0 k) M! j: d6 a1 f5 T* q

'Tis not too late to seek a newer world., w) X1 j* {0 ^4 K- g7 ^

Push off, and sitting well in order smite

; g) B  F* ^: p3 Q4 P4 PThe sounding furrows; for my purpose holds; m. X1 B/ z0 e; J% }/ m" ~7 P

3 |, b- t/ h/ M# W2 ]( p! CTo sail beyond the sunset, and the baths1 E4 |1 Q% D! L) ?/ Q
1 {  E9 E" D+ S# ]
Of all the western stars,until I die.

It may be that the gulfs will wash us down;/ E3 Z! E7 c7 i

And see the great Achilles, whom we knew.
