[读书笔记] 丁尼生 《尤利西斯》 节选

本杰明格雷厄姆八十岁生日爬梯上对儿孙们做了个演讲,演讲最后以这一段诗作结尾。这首诗是写老年的,不过我看了后觉得很受激励,就抄录下来以作自勉:

8 t3 F% Z( I3 g% T! b# w'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.  K, e2 z. w, Q, Y# B, M
3 ?, O9 q1 i4 U' M
Push off, and sitting well in order smite

; \! x8 A6 k. v& o7 T. sThe sounding furrows; for my purpose holds
6 z+ n% |. X4 n + F, n; B) w* ?% A, Q
To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths2 W0 c9 \3 Q! k7 n/ C# r1 j) T

4 r- N8 {! L/ M' K' `: o8 bOf all the western stars,until I die.
