[读书笔记] 丁尼生 《尤利西斯》 节选

本杰明格雷厄姆八十岁生日爬梯上对儿孙们做了个演讲,演讲最后以这一段诗作结尾。这首诗是写老年的,不过我看了后觉得很受激励,就抄录下来以作自勉:8 m9 `3 E, ~5 o+ i; |+ F

'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.5 v0 D7 q% M0 F# K8 W
3 J/ f. F! c1 l( }
Push off, and sitting well in order smite

7 _0 u! r9 U$ x9 E% _5 I2 s& U1 @The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds9 q. C( \  D0 c/ |# I1 ?

% R1 J, q& G; I3 X$ q& \To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths
+ F& d7 W. J7 D; D, v3 J
9 T- O1 S$ }0 ^4 r2 w2 q0 b. i* ]Of all the western stars,until I die.) l- e9 v6 e0 s+ Z

It may be that the gulfs will wash us down;
