偏爱与偏见

Yesterday there was a post and conversation around the impact of some employees in the UNC system filing a lawsuit regarding working conditions. What was disturbing were some of  comments around their decision and what drove their decision. These are people who support kids who do nasty things and they clean their nastiness. Regardless of their ethnicity if they are cleaning my son's toilet and a mask,face protection and gloves will help ensure they make it home to their loved ones how unreasonable is that. We are in a pandemic that doesn't recognize race, gender, religion or economic status. At the rate this virus is moving if you have not been affected directly or through family you will. People in general will disagree because we want what we want and when. Right now I want my son to have the best possible experience he can in this situation, excel in his studies but most importantly come back home to us healthy. I took a few moments to pull some data from the CDC that was updated yesterday. I know there are those that say this is not correct,etc but for some reason we trusted it before this situation.

My encouragement is to think of your family, your children but also think of what you do, what you say and how it can impact others.
To make decisions or statements around "it only impact this group" is irresponsible. This thing is coming for us ALL.
