Many criticising Che Guevara , but I have always found that unfair.

To me it is a baffling concept one such as Winston Churchill, an unapologetic racist bigot who helped contribute to a genocide in India (In 1943, up to four million Bengalis starved to death when Churchill diverted food to British soldiers and countries such as Greece while a deadly famine swept through Bengal.) is revered as a hero while Che is vilified.

John Lee Anderson once reported " have yet to find a single credible source pointing to a case where Che executed 'an innocent'. Those persons executed by Guevara or on his orders were condemned for the usual crimes punishable by death at times of war or in its aftermath: desertion, treason or crimes such as rape, torture or murder. I should add that my research spanned five years, and included anti-Castr­o Cubans among the Cuban-Amer­ican exile community in Miami and elsewhere.­"

During his life Che;

Worked in a Leper colony and treated lepers

Was instrumental in teaching over 900,000 Cubans to read

Tended to thousands of sick campesinos

Helped construct dozens of schools throughout Cuba

Removed the Mafia and dictatorship of Batista from Cuba which had killed 20,000 Cubans and tortured thousands more

Desegregated the schools in Cuba before they were in the Southern US

Che Guevara was one of the leader of Cuban literacy campaign  raised the literacy rate of Cuba from 60% to 96% within 12 months (January 1 - December 22, 1961), becoming the world's most ambitious and organised literacy campaign. .Cuban literacy was appallingly low before Castro put Che Guevara in charge of a literacy campaign that vastly improved it. Today Cuban literacy is at nearly 100%.

Called out South Africa’s Apartheid in 1964, 30 years before the West!

Denounced the racism and KKK in America

Warned of the dangers of the IMF, 3 decades before most of the developing world realized they had been scammed into debt slavery

Left a bourgeoisie comfortable life of the upper class, a potential well compensated career as a medical doctor, and a high regarded governmental position, to slog through the jungle and fight guerrilla wars against impenetrable odds to help free the proletariat In fact, near the end it took 1,800 rangers to bring down his 25 men.

Che’s supposed crimes were:

Stopping American companies from owning 70 % of the land in Cuba

Teaching peasants to read, by bringing the Cuban literacy rate from 60 to 97 %

Having the 200 or so War Criminals who killed 20,000 Cubans for Batista shot against a wall

Fighting white mercenaries in the African Congo with an all black army

Speaking out against US and eventually USSR while demanding that the poor of the world be allowed to live a life of dignity.

Those who are critical of Che and his so called villainy especially in the west should also consider the hundreds of thousands of Syrian civilians murdered by US and UK imperialism for a soon to be obsolete fossil fuel that destroys the planet.

Or take into account the recent attempted US backed right wing coup of democratically elected Bolivian leader Evo Morales to acquire lithium.

Every Criticism of Che Guevara I have heard is  hypocritical propaganda spewed out in script to be viewed though the lenses of a comfortable privileged western lifestyle which is corroding around your Tory government.

I've got a friend who recently reached out wanting to learn about ML theory and communism in general. In the very beginning, I learned by reading and discussing the Manifesto with people here before moving on to Lenin and Mao, etc. Due to COVID, getting physical books isn't exactly easy for him and he's looking for resources online.

What resources do you guys have for explaining the ideology? Assume he knows basically nothing about the ideology and is coming from the Bernie Sanders camp.
