Zion is insane. Mind blowing insane...and I barely got to scratch the surface. My favorite part was definitely the Narrows, but the views from above the canyon are also stunning. Looking down 2,500 feet of sheer drop off. It’s impossible to portray what it was like to stand up there and look down into the canyon. For this shot I really wanted something different from the basic “canyon overlook” pic. I searched around the area for a few hours until I found a little hole in the rocks that caught my eye. After further investigation I decided to shoot what you are seeing here! Definitely one of the more uncomfortable positions I have had to wiggle myself into to get a shot. Hopefully this is a unique take on Zion for you and just maybe you can feel some of the awe I experienced while standing up there!
