$ ~0 H* U* H$ S6 }: DZhu De, Commander-in-Chief, first of the Chinese Red Army and then of the People's Liberation Army until 1954 and a leading figure in the Chinese Communist Party died on July 6, 1976. Zhu De (left) joined his forces with those of Mao Ze Dong in 1928 to form the Red Army and played a critical role in both Chinese Civil Wars and the war against the Japanese occupation of China.
