導演陳可辛跟Leslie雖然只合作了兩部電影，但已經建立了深厚友誼，「我們是朋友」。陳可辛十分欣賞Leslie的才華，說Leslie是他「所見最專業的演員」。
陳可辛表示:「我通常是先寫劇本，再找演員，但有了張國榮這個演員後，才去考慮劇本。《金枝玉葉》是我題材裏面最大的，樂壇一個天王級作曲家，這些都是比平常生活大的，為什麼有那麼大的舞臺？是因為有張國榮，張國榮不是個平常人，他是個神仙，沒有他，我根本想不到這個題材，這其實是最不像我的一部戲。」
所以《金枝玉葉》是陳可辛當年為Leslie「度身定做」的。他認為Leslie是一個大演員，所以他不能演平凡的角色。結果，一貫擅長描繪小人物的陳可辛，拍出了一部最不像他風格的電影。
他又說:「或許在很多人眼裏，張國榮的戲誇張了一點。這種誇張不是說那種喜劇的誇張，而是太用力，太完美。他給的東西，總比我們要求的多了那麼一點。」「在香港，無論是對張國榮的完美主義、他的私生活還是他的演技，我們的胸襟都顯得太小了。」
陳可辛透露當年Leslie在戲裡最後那句告白台詞「男也好女也好，我只知道我喜歡你」，其實劇本上沒有，是Leslie自己加的。
《金枝玉葉》原本就是一個完整的故事，叫好叫座，票房口碑雙贏，在陳可辛眼中是無續集可言的。但他的一次失敗，使得《金枝玉葉》多了一部相當不錯的續集。
94年，拍了《金枝玉葉》後，陳可辛躊躇滿志、野心膨脹，決意拍一部講「人生大義」的野心之作——《嫲嫲帆帆》。可是電影出來之後虧損嚴重，為了挽回公司的損失，陳可辛接受公司建議，開始準備他並不想拍的《金枝玉葉》續集。
Leslie《金枝玉葉》的形象深受歡迎，續集他亦幫忙甚多，除了出面請Anita飾演其中一個角色外，還兼任了此片的副導演——由於電影時間太趕，只能分成三組來拍攝，陳可辛、曾志偉和Leslie便一人挑起了一組拍攝。

Director Peter Chan and Leslie had only cooperated in two films, but they had established a profound friendship. "We are friends." Peter appreciated Leslie's talent and said that Leslie was "the most professional actor ever seen".
Peter said, "I usually write the script first, then look for the actor, but I considered the script after having the actor, Leslie. The theme of《He's a Woman, She's a Man》was the biggest one in all my themes and it was about a king-level composer. These were all beyond normal. Why was there such a big stage? It was because of Leslie. He was not a normal person. He was a god. Without him, I couldn't think of this theme."
Therefore, 《He's a Woman, She's a Man》was tailor-made for Leslie. Peter thought that Leslie was a big actor, so he couldn't play an ordinary role. As a result, Peter, who had always been good at portraying nobodies, had produced a film that was the least like his style.
He added, "Perhaps in many people's eyes, Leslie's play was exaggerated. This exaggeration is not about the comic type of exaggeration. It's about that he worked too hard, too perfect. He gave us more than we asked." "In Hong Kong, whether it is comparing with Leslie's perfectionism, his private life or his acting skills, our mind is too small."
Peter revealed that Leslie’s last confession in the film, "Regardless of your gender, I only know that I like you.", was added by Leslie himself.
《He's a Woman, She's a Man》was a complete story on its own. It had a very good box office number. Peter had never thought of having a sequel. However, one of his failures gave this film a pretty good sequel.
In 1994, with the success of《He's a Woman, She's a Man》, Peter was full of ambitions and decided to produce a film to talk about the great meaning of life. Unfortunately, the film didn't have a good box-office performance. In order to recover the company's huge losses, he accepted the suggestion of producing the sequel.
The role of Leslie in《He's a Woman, She's a Man》was very popular. He helped a lot in the sequel as well. In addition to inviting Anita to play a role, he also served as an assistant director of the film. Since it was running out of time, the filming was divided into three groups. Peter, Eric Tsang and Leslie each headed a group.

Leslie跟Danny是敵非友？還是既友既敵？今日，似乎都不關重要了。他們在朋友與對手間，經過許多、許多的風波，反反覆覆，感情交纏複雜難明，已不容易說得清楚。
Danny風光的日子，正是Leslie的低潮，一忠一奸，這鴻溝太大，但無論兩人到何種處境，即使不是朋友，也一定不是敵人，當然這其中，免不了有好事者搬搬弄弄。幾年後Leslie紅了，Danny適逢事業不上不下，在別人眼中已是很好，他卻認為不夠好。就有人老追問Leslie跟Danny的關係，Leslie只得澄清：「常常傳我跟陳百強不和，其實我們沒有不和。」
還有人覺得不過癮，硬迫Leslie回答Danny是否他的好友。當時Leslie已站在樂壇高峰之際，在此刻若說好朋友，人家又會寫Danny沾Leslie的光，若說不是好朋友，顯得Leslie又好像很小氣，左右回答是與不是，都是得罪人。
DJ陳海琪回憶說:「張國榮很積極人生，給自己太多壓力，這個哥哥好正氣，Danny和我喜歡夜晚去disco，張國榮會教訓我們：『你們兩個時常去玩，不好好練習，做得不好又不會改進，你們覺得自己做得很好嗎？機會來到時，不會給你們的。』有一段時間，我和Danny見到他就跑走。」可見Leslie有多關心Danny，希望他做好準備迎接突然而來的機會。
Danny的親哥哥陳百靈也證實:「其實阿強和張國榮是好朋友，我見過他們在麗晶一起飲下午茶，他們之間應該沒有什麼猜忌，那都只是外間的傳聞。阿強昏迷期間，張國榮都會來探望。」
Danny於1990年參與一個電台節目時演唱了Leslie的《風再起時》，這段影片將Danny的歌聲配上Leslie的畫面，來一個crossover。

Were Leslie and Danny friends or enemies? It seems that it is not important anymore now. They had been through many and many storms between friends and opponents.  Their relationship is complicated and difficult to understand. It is not easy to make it clear.
The day of Danny's reaching the career climax was the low tide of Leslie. Although their gap was big at the time, they must not be enemies even if they were not friends. After a few years, Leslie became increasingly popular but there seemed not much progress in the career of Danny. Some people started to do things damaging their relationship. Leslie had to clarify, "It is often said that I am not in harmony with Danny Chan. The fact is that there is no discord between us."
Even worse, people kept asking Leslie whether or not Danny was a good friend of his. At the time, Leslie had stood on the climax of his career. If he said Danny was his good friend, people would write that Danny was in his reflected glory. If he said no, they would say he was stingy. He would fall into their trap whatever answer he gave.
DJ Ocean Chan recalled, "Leslie was very active and gave himself too much pressure. He was very upright. Danny and I liked to go to disco at night. Leslie said to us: 'You two often go to play and don't practice well. Do you think you are doing well? When the opportunity comes, it won't be given to you.' For a while, I and Danny ran away when seeing him." See much how Leslie cared about Danny! He hoped Danny was ready to meet the opportunity that came suddenly.
Danny's elder brother confirmed, "In fact, Danny and Leslie were good friends. I had seen them have afternoon tea together in Regent Hotel. There should be no suspicions between them. It was just a rumor outside. When Danny was in a coma, Leslie came to visit."
Danny sang Leslie's popular song《The Wind Blows Again》in a radio show in 1990. This video puts Danny's voice on Leslie's picture to have a crossover.

永遠的天使

從前，我欣賞Leslie的外貌、歌藝和演技。現在，我更沉迷於他的人格。

Leslie的《跨越九七演唱會》，一反邀請大明星撑場的慣例，只邀請了辛曉琪、莫文蔚、舒淇三位後輩做嘉賓，實則為她們提供在紅館「踏台毯」的機會。作為酬謝，Leslie向每人贈送一枚十二卡拉的昂贵鑽戒，打趣道:「邢李源送給林青霞的鑽戒也只有八卡拉！」

葛優：有件事情我特别感動，有一年的康城電影節，張國榮沒拿下影帝，次年的康城，我拿了影帝，回程途經香港時，張國榮自己開車來請我吃飯慶祝，不但沒有平素藝人間的妒忌心，還對他人的成功非常誠摯地祝賀。當時他說自己還要好好演戲，一定還有機會拿康城影帝。可惜現在人不在了……

狄龍：張國榮是一個很無私的演員，拍《流星雨》時，是張國榮主動要求監制張之亮修改劇本，讓我的角色更加突出。

鍾鎮濤：張國榮曾經在事業上幫過我，當時我不知，最近兩年才知，那時我們拍的電影《九星報喜》，聽黃百鳴說，原本只是《八星》，哥哥見我那時經濟有問題，叫黃百鳴找我加入，變成了《九星報喜》，多了我這個演員，他一直沒告訴我，當時他如日中天，而我正值最不如意的時間。

黃百鳴：從影三十年最欣賞的藝人是張國榮，因為他「有情有義」。當年與張國榮、星爺合作了《家有喜事》後，相隔數年要拍續集《97家有喜事》，當時因為星爺開出了較高的片酬，只能縮減其他開支，沒辦法再邀請張國榮出演。誰知開鏡當天，竟然接到張國榮電話，表示他要來客串，結果他真的來演了一場結尾戲，分文不收。當時覺得很不好意思，任何人遇到這種情況都會不開心，會問『為什麼不找我』，但是張國榮只說『恭喜你』，這人真的沒話說！

常盤貴子回憶說，能與Leslie合作是因為在接連不斷的連續劇拍攝後，感到很厭倦，於是向公司提出:「如果還繼續這樣不停地拍電視劇的話，我辭職。不當女演員了。」「那你接下來想幹什麼呢？」沒想到會突然問出這樣一個問題，腦袋裏一下子變得一片空白，於是索性大膽地說:「想演電影，而且是香港電影。合作的男演員是張國榮。」「好，知道了，我先去問問。」沒想到公司同意了。
其實她對男演員沒有多大興趣，但唯一喜歡的就是Leslie，那是全世界的男演員中她最喜歡的大明星。沒想到她一氣之下提出的無理要求竟然實現了——正好那時香港播出了她演出的幾部連續劇，所以Leslie和工作人員們也認識她。「貴子的話，行。」事情就這麼決定了。
沒有拍電影的經驗，沒想到第一次就是演香港電影，還跟最欣賞的男演員合作。當時常盤貴子因為壓力過大，而經常腸胃不適，Leslie看她水土不服，還以中藥煲湯讓她補身子，這貼心的舉動，讓常盤貴子相當感動！
常盤貴子私下秘密去香港的時候，Leslie也會邀請她吃飯。他會聽她述說戀愛、工作上的煩惱，還會給她建議，就像個調皮而又可依賴的哥哥。
Leslie的噩耗傳出時，常盤貴子正在拍攝電影。空檔時她戴着耳機，把音量調到最高，只是一個勁兒地聽音樂。聽Red Hot Chili Peppers那樣的重金屬音樂，儘量不讓自己去想這件事。

Takako Tokiwa recalled that she was able to work with Leslie because she felt bored after successively playing a number of TV dramas. She suggested to her company, "If I continue to play TV dramas like this, I will resign. I will not be an actress anymore." "Then what do you want to do next?" Since she didn't expect to be asked such a question, her head suddenly became blank. She said boldly, "I want to play a film, and it is a Hong Kong film. The co-actor is Leslie Cheung." "Well, understand. I will ask first." It was out of her expectation that the company agreed.
Takako Tokiwa said that she didn't have much interest in actors, but the only one she liked was Leslie who was her favorite star among the world's actors. Unexpectedly, her unreasonable request made in anger was accepted. Several series of her performances were broadcasted in Hong Kong. Therefore, Leslie and his staff knew her. "If it is Tokiwa, ok." Things were then confirmed.
She didn't have the experience of playing films. She didn't expect that her first film would be a Hong Kong film and also she would co-play with her most admired actor. At that time, she was often overwhelmed because of excessive pressure. Leslie believed she was not used to the food in Hong Kong. He then made her some soup with Chinese herbal medicine to improve her health. She was very moved!
When Takako Tokiwa secretly went to Hong Kong, Leslie would invite her to dinner. He listened to her about her love and work troubles, and gave her advice. He was like a naughty but dependable brother.
When the bad news about Leslie came out, Takako Tokiwa was shooting a film. She wore headphones in her free time and adjusted the volume to the highest level. She listened to music like Red Hot Chili Peppers, trying not to think about it.

為了1997演唱會練氣和保持體型，Leslie提前大半年聘請了一位私人健身教練。
他們是在94、95年間認識。教練說Leslie沒半點明星的氣焰，為人親切，待他如朋友。有一日他接到Leslie的電話說要聘請他為教練，Leslie是巨星，親自打電話給他，他很感動。
他又表示，Leslie家裡有一個200呎的健身房，裡面有一部跑步機、啞鈴和阻力繩等。他每週健身6天，每次做30-50分鐘帶氧運動，然後舉30磅啞鈴和做其他訓練。這樣的高强度訓練持續了大半年，辛苦可想而知。用教練的話來說：「他非常自律，非常聽教練的話。」
因為Leslie住的地方比較偏遠，他為教練節省車費，每天着司機接送他，又怕他工作忙沒時間吃午飯，會叮囑他一起吃完午飯才走。Leslie午飯會吃甚麽？天天都不同，有時炒小菜、炒面、肉醬意粉，甚麽都有，但都以清淡為主。
Leslie是個追求完美的人。有一次他們去喝茶吃點心，有一个蒸籠的蝦餃已吃光，可是在蒸籠上的紙放歪了，其實是微不足道的事，但Leslie跟他閒談間，不自覺地用手輕輕把那張紙擺正。他相信Leslie是不自覺地做出這個動作，Leslie做的時候很自然，就像呼吸般。
Leslie不會說一些甚麽特别的笑話，會在一些生活小節上幽他一默。好像有一次，完成訓練後，Leslie說在露台吃午飯，他說露台太熱了吧，Leslie說不熱，結果Leslie速速吃完返回屋内，他還沒吃完，Leslie說:「好熱啊，你慢慢吃。」
他1998年結婚時，有邀請Leslie出席婚宴。但Leslie不能去，因為那時剛巧是世界杯總决賽的日子，Leslie要去法國觀戰。Leslie跟他開玩笑叫他「好自為之」。在他婚禮當天，Leslie特地在法國打電話回來，恭賀他後又開他玩笑:「祝你年年有今日，歲歲有今朝。」
Leslie生日和聖誕開派對都會邀請他去，又特地安排他坐在身旁，介紹給朋友認識時都說「我教練」，他知道Leslie的目的是想介紹多些學生給他。Leslie的朋友都叫他「哥哥教練」。Leslie利用他的影響力，令他的工作順利一些。
Leslie真是一等一的大好人！

In order to train and maintain his body shape for the upcoming concert in 1997, Leslie hired a personal fitness instructor for more than half a year.
They met in around 1994/95. The coach said that Leslie didn't have the arrogance of a superstar. Leslie was kind and treated him like a friend. One day he received a call from Leslie saying that he wanted to hire him as a coach. Leslie was a superstar, but called him in person. He was very touched.
He also said that Leslie had a 200-square-feet  gym room equipped with a treadmill, dumbbells and resistance ropes etc in his house. Leslie exercised 6 days a week, doing 30-50 minutes of aerobic exercise each time, then lifting 30 pounds of dumbbells and doing other training. This kind of high-intensity training lasted for more than half a year. It was hard. In the words of the coach, "He is very self-disciplined and listens to the coach."
Since Leslie lived in a remote place, he sent his driver to pick him up everyday to save the transportation expenses. Leslie was afraid that he would not have time to have lunch and thus often invited him for lunch after training. What did Leslie eat at lunch? It was different every day. It was sometimes fried vegetables, fried noodles, spaghetti bolognese, etc.  All were light.
Leslie was a person who pursued perfection. Once they went to have dim sum, there was a steamed shrimp dumpling that had been eaten, but the paper on the steamer was not properly placed. It was a trivial matter, but Leslie slightly placed the paper properly with his hand while talking with him. He believed that Leslie was unconsciously doing this. The action was so natural that it was just like breathing.
Leslie didn't specifically tell jokes, but he would teased the coach naturally. One day after the training, Leslie suggested to have lunch on the terrace. The coach said that it was hot there but Leslie said it was not. As a result, Leslie quickly finished eating and returned to the house saying, "It’s so hot. Take your time."
When he got married in 1998, he invited Leslie to his wedding reception. Leslie couldn't go because it happened to be the World Cup finals, and Leslie was going to watch the game in France. Leslie joked with him by saying "good luck" to him. On the day of his wedding, Leslie called back in France and made a joke with him after congratulations, "May you have today's glory every year."
Leslie invited the coach to his birthday and Christmas parties, and specially arrange for the coach to sit beside him.  Leslie said he was  "my coach" when introducing him to friends. He knew that Leslie's purpose was to introduce more students to him. Leslie's friends called him "Gor Gor's coach." Leslie was using his influence to make the coach's work smoother.

風繼續吹的終極版本：

我的情意結：
1983年，張國榮跟隨黎小田，加入華星唱片公司，開始了他們的亦師亦友的合作夥伴,83年筆者亦買下了他的首張一錄音帶，(風繼續吹）而且經常翻聽，導致掉了磁粉，記得，一年內聽壞了共三盒錄音帶，或蝕帶，或聲音變了，但其印像亦非常深刻，我敢説，歌曲每一個細節，自小已聽到滾瓜難熟，      亦因為喜歡，1985年3月便訪尋港九，找尋全新黑膠唱片行蹤，終於在當年深水埗(添記唱片)以29元買下店內緊餘的一張全新唱片，並在一年多後，購下HiFi，首次感受到唱片的感覺。

1989年，CD開始正式普及，首次推出首張(風繼續吹)CD後（東芝廠)，音色比較黑膠有比例性的差距，雖然如此，但因為小巧方便，CD很快便成為市場主導！而自五六十年代復興的黑膠唱片更於1991至92年開始逐漸退下戰線，CD成為市場主流的軟件，並因成本下降及數碼化的逐漸成熟，於93到95年開始加速發展。

復刻版的風潮與高端音色版本的戰線：

自從2003年開始，復刻版CD開始出現，與高級版本音色的CD以一高一低的方式，作出了不同價錢版本角力，爭取市場佔有率，經歷了15年後的今天，CD的版本已是五花八門，形形色色的版本多不勝數！同一款CD曾經多至20至三十個版本，實在是太誇張了！今天，貴不一定好！數據的多少亦不一定是好聲的保證，我個人總認為，用心，才是正道，從小到大重覆聆聽的一張作品，上百丶上千次的回憶，情懷才是最重要，一張作品的音色與回憶往往是分不開的！

風繼續吹的不同版本：

自1989年的首版(東芝)，1995年出了一個lFPl的普通版本，CD仍然是16首，但封面與封底舆唱片相同，封底只印上12首歌曲的名字，到這幾年，分別推出了24K金丶雙層SACD丶單層SACD,歐盟版本的普通版及ARM-SHMCD版本，以CD版數來説，期實並不算多了，一共六版！所作為fans的我，音色才是最重要的，在眾多版本中可以說各有不同但若然已黑膠唱片的音色為中心作比較的話，那就容易分辨得多了⋯⋯各版本的比較如下

首版(東芝)雖然比較有模擬味道，但因為音場比較狹窄，聽來場面比黑膠唱片細，而且密度比例與唱片有一段距離，因為有壓縮了的感覺！但勝在自然！沒有太多人工化的味精感覺！

名填詞人向雪懷跟Leslie的合作不多，好像只有《偏心》和《痴心的我》，但他對Leslie的印象挺好的，而且對Leslie有點偏心，經常在人前讚揚Leslie。
據他憶述，Leslie最初簽「寶麗金」時，推出《情人箭》和英文碟等不成功，是因為定位錯誤，所有「寶麗金」歌手定得很高key，太高key令Leslie聽來像「雞仔聲」，轉到「華星」後才找到適合的低音。
他又透露唱片界的潛規則「買獎」黑幕，他坦言:「付出和收取的人都不應，這對年輕人不公平，年輕人是很脆弱的，容易受到打擊。就拿張國榮說，當年他的《風繼續吹》是可以拿到獎的，但是沒拿到。這對當時很年輕的張國榮打擊非常大，我當時在他身邊，他非常沮喪，對我說不想再唱歌了。不過他後來還是成功了，但是，並不是每個人都是張國榮。」
對音樂痴迷的Leslie，常跟製作人討論音樂的想法。向雪懷說:「有一次他很認真地看着我問:『走音這麼難，怎麼還有這麼多人會走音？』我當時都不知道該怎麼回答他，他認真的樣子讓我覺得很有趣，但是他又完全不是在開玩笑。」

Although Jolland Chan, a famous lyricist, worked with Leslie two times only, his impression of Leslie was very good. He was a little biased towards Leslie, often praising him in front of people.
According to him, when Leslie first joined PolyGram, both of his two albums were unsuccessful because of the positioning error. All the PolyGram singers set a very high key. Too high the key made Leslie's voice like "Chicken Voice". He found the right key at Capital Artists.
He also revealed details of the record industry's unspoken rules of "buying prizes". He said frankly, "No one should pay and receive. This is unfair to young people. Young people are very vulnerable. Take Leslie as an example. His song 《Wind Continues Blowing》was able to win a prize, but he didn't get it. This was a very big attack to Leslie, who was very young at the time. I was with him. He was very depressed and told me that he didn't want to sing anymore. He later finally succeeded, but not everyone is Leslie Cheung."
Leslie obsessed with music and often talked to producers about his ideas and beliefs. Jolland said, "On one occasion, he looked at me very seriously and asked: It’s so difficult to sing off key. How can there be so many people doing so? I didn’t know how to answer him at the time. He looked serious. It was funny, but he was not kidding at all."

繼續講一些Leslie與娛樂圈中人的恩怨情仇，同樣地資料都是取自互聯網和部份未經證實，無意抹黑任何人。
王家衛
王導演喜歡折磨演員是大眾的觀感。拍攝《阿飛正傳》時，一幕與張曼玉的特寫鏡頭，竟足足NG了47次，破了Leslie從影以來的紀錄，最重要的是Leslie並不知道前面46次他錯在哪裡。
《春光乍泄》開拍前，Leslie明確表示年底要開演唱會，必須按時完成拍攝回港，王家衛誓言沒問題。去到阿根廷，因為某些原因，等了數星期還未開拍，而王家衛亦沿用一貫拍攝速度，結果嚴重超時。有說他收起Leslie的護照，不肯放人。
Leslie回港做完演唱會後，返回阿根廷十數天，補拍了一些鏡頭。有指Leslie是收了五十萬的「補水」才肯回去，傳聞指是王家衛發送這個消息。Leslie被問到有沒有收到五十萬時，激動不已，直言並無此事，並叫對方將賬目拿出來證明收過。後經記者查證，Leslie沒有收過一分一毫。
Leslie表示他當初肯接拍《春光乍泄》，是因為王家衛跟他說想用正面的角度拍一部香港人的同性戀電影。不過，後來王家衛沒有做到，他用了來自台灣的張震。
梁家輝直言覺得王家衛利用Leslie。「他利用張國榮去哄梁朝偉拍 《春光乍泄》，他們在阿根廷等了那麼久，因為偉仔未能調整好心態去演同志。」還認為他一開始就不懷好意地準備消費Leslie的私生活。
影評人及導演舒琪也曾這樣說:「如果我的理解無錯，Leslie後期不開心的原因之一，是王家衛剝削了他，他利用Leslie的個人經驗放在戲中，將他擺上枱！」
「在阿根廷拍完這部電影的時候，我再次下决心：我再也不和王家衛合作了！」這是Leslie的宣言。他後來對記者說如果有好劇本的話，會考慮再與王家衛合作，但眾所周知王家衛拍戲是從來沒有劇本的。
高志森
1994年7月，高志森想請Leslie拍戲，但當時Leslie已被安排接拍另一部電影。高志森先下手為強，以飯局為名，寫下一張支票給Leslie，稱以示誠意。
Leslie跟高志森講明，一切要交由公司決定，但事實是他並沒有檔期。但礙於情面，高志森又盛意拳拳，Leslie不好拒絕，暫且收下支票，預備擇日歸還。
豈料未幾高志森卻接受周刊訪問，指Leslie收錢不認帳，文章還刊登一張抬頭為「張國榮」的300萬支票。高志森於訪問中稱「我有權告張國榮！但我唔想玩嘢。」Leslie激動謂:「佢要告我，我歡迎！我拍十幾年戲，從來冇話俾人告，依家高志森嚟告我？講啲咁嘅嘢，簡直係垃圾。」
後來Leslie表示那張支票是假的。第一，金額應該是一百萬而不是三百萬；第二，眾人皆知Leslie是一直用「張發宗」收支票的；第三，那張支票沒有劃線，不合情理。
Leslie在「金馬獎」輸給了謝君豪，高志森就這樣說：「算啦張國榮，邊個唔知佢識做戲，人家初出道好需要個獎，先至有機會嘛，張國榮還需要獎來做什麽？」
Leslie走後，高志森曾「爆料」Leslie跟陳百強交惡的原因，他所講的屬真屬假就不得而知。

Director Wong likes to torture the actors is the public perception. When filming《Days of Being Wild》, a scene with Maggie Cheung was NG 47 times, breaking the record of Leslie. More importantly, Leslie did not know where he was wrong in the previous 46 times.
Before the filming of《Happy Together》started, Leslie made it clear that he had a concert at the end of the year and the film had to be finished on time. Wong vowed that no problem. When arriving Argentina, shooting was not started until a few weeks later. Keeping Wong's usual shooting speed, there was a serious timeout as a result. It was heard that Wong kept Leslie’s passport and refused to let him go.
After finishing the concert in Hong Kong, Leslie returned to Argentina for a dozen days to make some shots. It was said that Leslie received an "overtime" payment of HKD500,000 before returning. The rumor was that Wong sent out this message. When Leslie was asked if he had received HKD500,000, he was very emotional. He emphasized no and asked Wong to take out the books of accounts to prove that he had received it. The reporters verified afterwards that Leslie did not receive anything.
Leslie said that he was willing to take《Happy Together》because Wong told him that he wanted to make a Hong Kong gay film from a positive angle. However, Wong did not do that at the end. He used Chang Chen from Taiwan.
Big Tony Leung bluntly felt that Wong was using Leslie. "He used Leslie as a tool to convince small Tony Leung to go to Argentina. They waited in Argentina for so long because Tony failed to adjust his mind to act the role." He also believed that Wong intended to consume Leslie's private life from the beginning.
A film critic and director Shu Kei also said, "If I'm correct, one of the reasons for Leslie's unhappiness is that Wong Kar-wai exploited him. He used Leslie's personal experience in the film and put him on the stage!"
"When I finished this film in Argentina, I made up my mind again: I will never work with Wong Kar-wai again!" This was Leslie's declaration. He later told the reporters that if there was a good script, he would consider cooperating with Wong. It is well known that Wong has never had a script.
Clifton Ko
In July 1994, Clifton invited Leslie to a film, but Leslie had been scheduled to take another film. Clifton, wrote Leslie a cheque in a dinner, showing that he was sincere.
Leslie told Clifton that everything had to be decided by the company, but the truth was that he really had no time to take it. However, since Leslie didn't want to reject him on the spot, he accepted the cheque for the time being with a plan to return it later.
Unexpectedly, Clifton said in a magazine interview that Leslie accepted the money without keeping his promise. The article also posted a 3-million cheque with the payee "Cheung Kwok Wing". Clifton said in his interview that "I have the right to sue Leslie Cheung! But I just don't want to do so." Knowing that, Leslie said with anger, "He wants to sue me? Welcome! I have been in this field for more than ten years, and I have never been sued. What he said is just rubbish.”
Later, Leslie said the cheque was fake. Firstly, the amount should be one million instead of three millions. Secondly, everyone knew that he had been using the name "Cheung Fat Chong" to collect cheques. Thirdly, the cheque was not crossed. It wasn't reasonable.
Leslie lost to Tse Kwan-ho at Golden Horse Award. Clifton said, "Who doesn't know Leslie plays well? Tse Kwan-ho needs an award to help him with opportunities. Why does Leslie need an award?"
After Leslie left, Clifton revealed the reason why Leslie and Danny Chan broke up. What he said is believable or not is unsure.

當年郭晉安剛出道時，因為長相酷似Leslie，因此被人冠上了「張國榮表弟」的綽號。有次Leslie在片場碰見郭晉安，立刻跳到他的鏡頭前，兩手做出V字手勢，嘴裡還很歡樂地賣廣告:「要不要替身？要不要替身？」讓現場所有人笑翻。

At the time Roger was new to the show business, he was nicknamed "Leslie's cousin" because he was very much like Leslie in appearance. When Leslie once met him in a studio, Leslie immediately jumped to the camera and made a V-shaped gesture with both hands. He also joyfully advertised himself, "Do you need a double? Do you need a double?" This made everyone laughed to tears.

1990年Leslie退出去了加拿大，黃百鳴一定要令他復出拍《家有囍事》，於是派了高志森拿著劇本去加拿大給Leslie看。黃百鳴安排Leslie飾演那個花花公子配張曼玉，Leslie答允了。怎知他一下飛機，就跟黃百鳴說他要做那個娘娘腔的。結果Leslie做常騷，而周星馳做常歡。
Leslie將常騷這角色演繹得入型人格，令我改變了對男士的看法，原來不一定要有男士氣慨才有魅力！
當年還發生了一件令人震驚的事情。經歷香港電影黃金十年，龐大的收益，逢片必賺仿如生金蛋的效應，終於吸引到一班黑社會入局，正式入侵娛樂圈。黃百鳴透露當時被黑社會派人拿著手槍搶《家有囍事》底片！幸好他們只找到了毛片，底片還在。

Leslie retired and went to Canada in 1990. Raymond Wong must make him come back to film《All's Well, Ends Well》. So he sent Clifton Ko to Canada to show Leslie the script. Raymond arranged for Leslie to play the playboy and partner with Maggie Cheung.  Leslie agreed. Who knows he said to Raymond immediately when he got off the plane that he wanted to play the sissy role. As a result, Leslie was So and Stephen Chow was Foon.
Leslie played the sissy role so well that I have changed my perception of men. It doesn't have to be masculine to be attractive!
There was another shocking thing that happened at the time. After experiencing the golden decade of Hong Kong film industry, the huge profits finally attracted a group of underworlds to formally invade the entertainment business. Raymond revealed that  the underworld once came with a pistol intending to grab the film of《All's Well, Ends Well》. Fortunately, they only found the answer print, and the film was still there.

Many people habitually compare Leslie and Kar-kui. In fact, there is no need for it. Leslie is the representative of all-round artists, and Kar-kui is the representative of Hong Kong, and even Chinese, rock music. Both of them have their own merits. A thousand readers have a thousand Hamlet. In the eyes of every fan, his idols are the best. There is no need to downplay others to raise the status of their idols.

Jean-Paul Gaultier，法國時裝界最不買別人帳的巨頭，被日本藝能界求了兩年才做了一件歌衫給廣末涼子。偏偏願意為Leslie量體裁衣，用最好的材料，全手工製作了9套「熱•情演唱會」的歌衫，只為了Leslie說一句:「我張國榮開演唱會，就要最好的設計來襯。」
Leslie去法國米蘭和JPG見面，才進房間，那無比高傲的大師兩步衝過來，愛慕掩不住，拉着他說:「Leslie我是你的影迷，程蝶衣是我見過最迷人的男子。」
對於這次與JPG的合作，Leslie曾如此說:「我覺得他真是一個大師級人物。我生得不高，但他用造couture的proportion將我的缺點收藏，將優點表現。《From Angel to Devil》的形象意念是他提出的，因為他覺得我好versatile，出來的效果會很靚。我沒問過他為什麼會有這構思，大家是一種信任嘛！」
JPG也跟記者說:「天使和魔鬼本來是矛盾的敵對的，而我要Leslie把他們合而為一。」雖然香港大部分傳媒無知不懂得欣賞，但也無損JPG和Leslie的友誼，他還專程前往拉斯維加斯欣賞Leslie的表演呢。

Jean-Paul Gaultier, a top fashion designer in France, had made one dancing costumes only for Hiroyuki Ryoko in Japan after two years of asking. He was however willing to hand-make nine sets of costumes using the best materials for Leslie's Passion Tour. It was just because Leslie said, "I use the best design in my concerts."
Leslie went to Milan, France to meet JPG. Just entering the room, JPG rushed over. He couldn't cover his love and said, "Leslie, I am your fan. Cheng Dieyi is the most charming man I have ever seen."
For this collaboration with JPG, Leslie once said, "I think he is really a master. I am not very tall, but he uses the proportion of couture to cover my shortcomings and show my merits. The idea of "From Angel to Devil" is his suggestion. He thinks that I am versatile, and so there will be a beautiful effect. I have not asked why he has this idea. It is a kind of trust!"
JPG also told the reporters, "An angel and a devil are originally contradictory and hostile. I want Leslie to combine them into one." Although most media in Hong Kong didn't appreciate this idea, it did not harm the friendship between JPG and Leslie. JPG took a trip to Las Vegas to enjoy Leslie's performance.

Leslie與大姐張綠萍於2017年11月天堂團聚了。
小時候，父母都工作忙碌，Leslie由大姐帶大，故此，Leslie很受她影響，都是「最好主義」的信徒。她和弟弟說:「只要做到最好，成事敗事都屬天意，自己不內疚，才是最重要。」
Leslie的父親起初不同意他進娛樂圈，是張綠萍給弟弟很大支持；後來Leslie出道被人欺負時，回家都會跟姐姐傾吐委屈，兩個人感情也越來越好。
對於Leslie的英年早逝，張綠萍曾坦言十分愧疚。因為在Leslie二十歲的時候，他的乾媽曾拿着他的時辰八字去算命，算命師算到46歲便停下，說:「到此為止，容後再談。」Leslie非常緊張，去問姐姐他是否46歲要死了，張綠萍心中一  顫，告訴他不是，說他這麼豐富的生命，到了46歲再寫過，就是下半場了。而對於張綠萍來說，這無疑是人生中的遺憾，誰能料到Leslie真的在46歲的時候結束了一切，而非下半場的開始。
在張綠萍心中，張國榮是一個很貼心的弟弟。曾送她一個布製相架，內裏放了她的婚紗照及Leslie兒時照，是她視為最珍貴的禮物。
在2002年，Leslie自殺前一段時期，他曾邀姐姐和他一起去澳洲，而那時張綠萍由於無法放下工作拒絕了他。這也成了她心中永遠的遺憾，如果當時答應了弟弟的請求，在Leslie最需要人陪伴的時候能陪他散散心，也許就不是這樣的結局。

Leslie and her eldest sister Ophelia Cheung reunited in paradise in November 2017.
When Leslie was a child, his parents were busy with work, and Leslie was brought up by her eldest sister. Therefore, Leslie was very much influenced by her. Both of them were a "best of the best" believer. She said to Leslie, "As long as you do your best, it is God who decides if you will be successful. The most important thing is that you don't feel guilty."
Leslie's father initially didn't allow him to join the show business. It was Ophelia who gave great support to his youngest brother. Later, when Leslie debuted and was bullied, he would pour grievances with his sister when he went home. This helped to make them get closer and closer.
Ophelia felt guilty about Leslie's early death. When Leslie was twenty years old, his godmother went to a fortune teller to check his fortune. The fortune teller stopped at the age of 46 and said, "That's it. Let's talk later." Leslie was very nervous. He asked Ophelia if he would die with he was 46. Ophelia’s heart trembled and told him it was not the case. She said he was so rich in life that the fortune teller would start the second half from 46. For Ophelia, this was undoubtedly a regret in life. Who can expect that Leslie really ended everything at the age of 46, not the beginning of the second half.
In Ophelia's heart, Leslie was a very sweet brother. He once gave her a photo frame made of cloth, and placed her wedding photos and Leslie's childhood photos inside. She regarded it as the most precious gift.
In 2002, before Leslie committed suicide, he invited Ophelia to go to Australia with him. However, Ophelia refused him because she could not let go of her work. This had become a regret forever in her heart. If she promised her brother's request at the time, she would be able to accompany Leslie when he was most in need of companionship. Perhaps the ending would not be like this.

被下毒的王傑個性不變，因為 #張國榮 當年對他説了這番話...

出道多年，王傑一直保持著真性情，即使當年因為個性使然，不願意妥協而失去自己，從而被人下毒，他依然保持自己的個性。在綜藝節目中，對選手的批評直言不諱，即使面對的是成龍大哥的弟子依然不留情面。做真正的自己，不隨波浮沉是王傑的標籤，而他之所以這樣，和當初張國榮和他説過的一番話有關係。

當時王傑剛出道，上電視台的一個節目，作為新人，加上他不善言辭，很多大牌藝人都瞧不上他，甚至打壓他。在別人三五成群地在一起開心時，王傑只能躲在角落裡黯然神傷。直到有一天，張國榮來參加節目，看到王傑，對他説：「你一個人在這裡幹甚麼，跟我走。」然後就拉著王傑的手，走到了舞台中央。那時候張國榮已經是天皇巨星了。對一個新人如此照顧，令王傑很感動。

在後來的交往中，張國榮幫了王傑很多，對他的照顧可謂是無微不至。在餐廳吃飯，如果遇到媒體偷拍，張國榮就會主動坐到王傑身邊去，這樣就增加了王傑的曝光率，有助於提升王傑的知名度。張國榮對一個新人能有如此良苦用心，令人感動。

王傑也曾為自己的性格而矛盾過，他不知道要不要改變，像身邊的一些明星一樣，變得八面玲瓏，討人喜歡。張國榮看出了他的苦惱，對他説了一番話：「傑仔啊，做藝人千萬不要假，不要怕，你要以身作則給歌迷看，流言永遠抵不過時間的蹉跎。」一番話，撥開了王傑心頭的迷霧，他堅定了做自己的決心。

這番話對王傑影響深遠。至今王傑仍然銘刻於心，憶起哥哥當初説給他的這番話，王傑依然充滿感激，感激張國榮在他苦悶的時候告訴他堅持做自己，沒有成為自己討厭做的那種人。現在聽王傑唱歌，真心為他感到難過。但他當初不願意妥協，保持自我，不隨波逐流，讓人敬佩。

『武林世家』是一部香港TVB製作的古裝電視劇，全劇共20集，於1985年3月首播。

改編自古龍小說《飛刀，又見飛刀》和《霸王槍》，此劇是張國榮與張曼玉的第二次合作。往後二人都在電影中有數次的經典合作

《劇情簡介》
方浩天（張國榮飾）是軍器世家方家長子方存仁的私生子，二人相認後，浩天答應父親幫助打理家業，因此被捲進家族中的鬥爭旋渦。之後方存仁病逝，三叔方存智及四叔方存信（謝賢飾）藉機逼害浩天。

西域柳城公主段柳兒（張曼玉飾）前往中原採購軍器，因而結識了浩天，二人互生情愫。但後來方存信橫刀奪愛，浩天與柳兒之間的關係出現不少誤會…..

剛剛看到一篇二十多年前的文章，是名作家倪匡的兒子倪震筆下的Leslie，值得跟大家分享～
世界是公平的除了對張國榮。為什麼一個三十出頭的人仍能有一雙年青的眼睛。
張國榮今天已是歌影雙棲的大哥大級人物，有時也會一本正經地教訓一下後輩。可是他那輪廓分明，繃得緊緊的面孔卻常給他的眼睛出賣了。他眼中飛揚的孩子氣是蓋也蓋不住的，辜負了他那日漸成熟的外形。
有次看見他正在作大哥哥狀「訓導」柏安妮時，偶爾那孩子氣又在眼中不慎溢出，我登時笑了。就像弟弟在教姐姐的感覺。
張國榮的屋子不是我見過最大的一間，卻是我最喜愛的一間，主人的品味無疑是最大的原因。寬敞的空間、黑白的配搭、優雅的擺設、漂亮的人物。
我老友林夕一走進張國榮家便雙眼發亮，喃喃自語咒罵自己不夠努力，不然便可買一幢像Leslie家那樣的屋子。
如沐春風老實說，品味這東西是天生的，以張國榮今天的身家，為什麼一點暴發戶的味道也沒有，我實在不明白。他又不是沒窮過。

The world is fair except for Leslie. Why a person in his early thirties can still have a pair of young eyes.
Leslie today has a prestigious status in the industry.  Sometimes he will provide coaching to the young ones. His good-looking and serious face is often betrayed by his eyes. The childish flesh in his eyes sometimes uncontrollably appears.  
I once saw that he was giving a big-brother like advice to Ann Bridgewater. He occasionally spilled his childishness in his eyes. I couldn't help but laughed for having the feeling of a younger brother teaching his elder sister.
The house of Leslie is not the biggest one I have ever seen, but it is my favorite one. The taste of the owner is undoubtedly the biggest reason. Spacious space, black and white matching, elegant furnishings, and beautiful people.
When my old friend Albert Leung walked into Leslie’s home, his eyes brightened and he muttered that he was not working hard enough, or he could buy a house like Leslie's.
Honestly speaking, taste is something innate. With Leslie's wealth today, why is there no sign of the nouveau riche? I really don’t understand. He was poor once.
