Yesterday as I got home from work I grabbed my camera and started to make my way around the Valley. I have been running into this group of bucks pretty frequently lately, I was hoping I’d be able to find them again.
A big cloud of smoke covered the sun, the light that shone through gave a reddish hue. I thought it looked cool, if only for some kind of subject now. Just as I was starting to lose hope I looked over to my left and there they were. Four or five bucks standing on the other side of the road, staring at me. I waved and said “Hello, friends!” I moved over to the side of the bike path and slowly, one by one, they started making their way around me. A few get into the Ahwahnee Meadow and I saw my opportunity. I creepily made my way through someone’s front yard, “sorry dude” I kept repeating, and found the composition that had struck me. Clicked the shutter twice and that was it. I stood up with a smile from ear to ear and continued to walk around the Valley.
Yesterday was blissful. |
