Mt.Everest final cornice climb. May22, 2019.
Just after dawn.... but still about 1.5- 2hours before one could actually kiss the summit!
This view reveals itself all of a sudden after the South Summit. We "know" about it but seeing it live - does cause a few misses on the heartbeats! One goes "wow" first and "wtf!!" next and "let's get on with it" thereafter. The Hillary Step is the spot where there is a dip on the upper side.
