《家有囍事》的大嫂吳君如公開表示未入行前，Leslie是她的頭號夢中情人：「我很喜歡哥哥，簡直是瘋狂暗戀的那種。在這一行裏，我唯一暗戀過的人，只有哥哥！」
父親夏春秋是資深藝人，曾在美麗宫夜總會籌辦表演，讓當時還是15歲的她認識了Leslie：「趁他下午彩排的時候，我到夜總會和他合照，之後成了朋友，他約我看電影，有時還會接我去喝茶，甚至邀請我到他家作客，和他最愛的工人六姐一起打三人麻雀。」
吳君如表示當時和Leslie很親密，讓她有所幻想：「我以為他追求我，但原來根本不是這回事。有時我在他家聊天聊通宵，如今想來，原來哥哥一直害怕寂寞。」
「我希望跟他說，在我有生之年，希望可以見到他投胎轉世，再見到巨星誕生，也許我都不知道能有多長命，不過八十歲或多少歲都好，都希望可以見他轉世，來世好開心、好開心！」

Sandra Ng, the eldest sister-in-law in《All's Well, Ends Well》, publicly stated that Leslie was her number one dream lover before she joined the show business: "I crazily like Gor Gor. In this sector, the only person I have secretly loved is Gor Gor!"
Her father is a senior artist. He once organised performancs at a nightclub. This gave her a chance to meet Leslie when she was 15 years old. "When he was rehearsing in one afternoon, I went to the nightclub to take photos with him. We then became friends. He asked me to watch movies, sometimes picked me up for tea, and even invited me to his home to play three-person mahjong with his beloved helper, Lu Je."
Sandra said that she was very close to Leslie at the time, making her fantasize: "I thought he was pursuing me, but it was not the case at all. Sometimes we chatted at his house overnight. Now I realised that Gor Gor had always been afraid of loneliness."
"I hope to tell him that in my lifetime, I hope to see him reincarnation, and see the birth of a superstar. I don't know how long I can live, maybe 80 or older. I hope I can see him reincarnate. Be happy in next life. Be happy!"

《霸王别姬》Leslie的原聲據說只有三處，其餘聲音來自另一位演員楊立新。字幕中沒有他的名字，因為康城電影節要求使用演員原聲，如果全部使用配音，Leslie將失去角逐最佳男演員的機會。最終，Leslie以一票之差與影帝失之交臂。不是配音緣故，而是意大利評委竟給Leslie投了影后一票。

In《Farewell My Concubine》, it was said that Leslie's original voice appeared in three places only.  The rest of the voice came from another actor, Yang Lixin. His name did not appear in the subtitles. It was because the Cannes Film Festival required the use of the actor's original voice. If dubbing was used all the way, Leslie would lose the chance to compete for the best actor. In the end, Leslie missed the award with a vote. It was not due to the voice, but the Italian judge voted Leslie for the best actress.

Leslie在其他靚人心目中是什麼類型的「靚樣」？

周潤發：Leslie講過最遺憾不可以生高三幾吋，但我認為，他是矮得合適，矮得有型，我不及他靚，正因為我不及他矮！

劉德華：我認為要達到靚的要求，起碼要畀人舒服順眼的感覺，Leslie不單舒服順眼，五官輪廓還均勻起眼。

陳百強：我本人以有份成為美男子感到自豪，其實每個當選者都有本身靚之所在，Leslie是靚得自然，不含人造色素，我是這樣看法。

林青霞：靚有很多種，但最重要還是經得起時間考驗，Leslie十幾年來還未走樣，可以說是靚得耐看，應該可以靚下去。

鍾楚紅：我讚Leslie靚仔，不因為他讚我靚女在先，他在《儂本多情》的放蕩不羈、玩世不恭形象，迷死很多靚妹仔，我也是其中之一。

張曼玉：我與Leslie在電影與劇集都合作過，在靚的外表之內，他的品格與心地都很好，靚得算全面。

李美鳳：我與Leslie不熟落，如果過份讚他，難免被人誤會有「擦鞋」成份，但他的外表很吸引我，我相信一般女性心目中的白馬王子，大概都像他眉清目秀那類型。
李嘉欣：我很想向Leslie求教駐顏秘方，不明白卅歲過外的男人，怎會keep得咁fit，若果我在十年後還是這個樣子，我也心願！

What type of "beauty" does Leslie have in other people's minds?
Chow Yun-fat：Leslie has said that the most regrettable is not to be able to grow a few inches taller.  I however think that he is suitably short and stylish. I am not as good-looking as him, just because I am not as short as him!
Andy Lau：I think that in order to meet the requirements of beautiful, a person at least has to make people feel comfortable and pleasing. Leslie not only looks comfortable and pleasing, his facial features are eye-catching as well.
Danny Chan：I am proud of being a beautiful man. In fact, every elected person has his own characteristics of beauty. Leslie's beauty is natural and contains no artificial additives. I think so.
Brigitte Lin：There are many kinds of beauty, but the most important thing is that it can stand the test of time. Leslie has not been out of shape for more than ten years. His beauty should be able to continue.
Cherie Chung：I like Leslie's beauty, not because he praised me first. His cynicism in《Once Upon an Ordinary Girl》had fascinated many young girls including me.
Maggie Cheung：I have worked with Leslie in both films and dramas. Inside his good-looking face, his character and heart are very good too. His beauty is all-round.
Elizabeth Lee：I am not familiar with Leslie. If I praise him inevitably, I will be mistaken for "shoe-shining" , but his appearance is really attractive to me. I believe that the Prince Charming in the eyes of ordinary women is probably his type.
Michelle Reis：I really want to ask Leslie for the secret of keeping young. I don’t understand how a man who is older than 30 is able to be so fit. I wish I am still like this after ten years!

【#舊片回顧：哪些年，我們一起看過的哥哥】

2003年的今天，張國榮在文華酒店頂樓墜落，一代紅星就此翩然而去；不知不覺竟已有十六載。回看其一生著作，除了《霸王別姬》中的程蝶衣外，還有《胭脂扣》中的十二少最讓人難以忘懷。


一襲青衫、三七油頭、溫文談吐，再配上幾分頹廢的紈絝氣質，跟帶有些許狡黠無賴的笑容，這是十二少首登場時的造型。玩世不恭的二世祖到青樓玩樂，巧遇名妓如花，看著佳人芳華絕的氣質，他只感無法抽身，唯有拋開南北行大少的高貴身分，到如花的房中死活爛纏、上演「乾煎石斑」的戲碼。


世人皆鄙視這個「乳前龍井」，女人視之如恥辱，男人視之為玩物；但偏偏這放浪不羈、離經叛道的二世祖卻看出了如花與旁人之不同，終身愛上這個性情剛烈的女子。甚至，他為了她而墮落，淪為一個戲班的小角色。一切只為佳人，不為甚他。


然而，儘管十二少有多愛如花也好，如花太過濃烈的愛，還是讓他膽怯了。他鼓著勇氣陪如花吞了一口鴉片，卻命不該絕的被救了回來，他亦再沒勇氣死多一次了。所以，他苟活下來了。


結果，身體活了下來，靈魂則已隨如花而去，無法愛上被逼娶的妻子，無法面對逼使自己與情人生離死別的父母，無法疼愛自己的親生兒子，弄得散盡千萬家財、妻離子散、孤獨終老。最後，只能看著揚長而去的如花，老淚縱橫的大叫道：「為何要剩我一個獻世！」


如花責怪十二少的怯懦，但誰又知道他或許比死去的如花更難過？她決絕的認為，他的苟活只因不夠愛，然而偷下安眠藥難道又非因不夠信、不夠愛？


「為甚麼有安眠藥？」
「他怕。」
「為甚麼要下安眠藥？」
「我怕。」


如花一個人演著那「如夢如幻月」的淒美愛情劇，獨留無奈的十二少面對著殘酷的現實，強行把他拉離無可挑剔的生活。事實證明，她愛自己更勝十二少。這悲劇從來只有一個主角，十二少只是擠在那旁邊、被主角操控的小配角而已。


今天適逢哥哥離世十六載，大家不妨回顧一下這部在第8屆香港電影金像獎奪獎無數的傑作吧！
