This photo looks like it was taken earlier this month. On Sunday, January 27, in Grand Canyon Village, we still have snow covering about 50% of the ground. However, it is now melting fast, since our high on the South Rim today was around 53°F. Highs in the 50's are predicted throughout the coming week. So goodbye snow - for now. -mq
The sheer scale and beauty of Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona can be overwhelming. 277 miles of the Colorado River wind through a maze of red stone walls a mile below the canyon rim. Shifting light and shadows reveal unique colors and textures. It’s an unforgettable experience. Photo by Michael Just (www.sharetheexperience.org).
