Today at noon, Yosemite Valley, Wawona, and Wawona Road (Highway 41) were closed due to hazardous smoke conditions and to facilitate firefighting operations. Big Oak Flat Road west of Crane Flat and Tioga Road (Highway 120 through the park) are still open, and campgrounds and services in the Crane Flat and Tuolumne Meadows are also open. The closure of Yosemite Valley, Wawona, Mariposa Grove, Merced Grove, and Wawona Road will last at least through Sunday, July 29, but may be extended based on the status of fire operations.
