Here is the WIkipedia article that I quote on this topic:
"Internal whistleblowing on CNN's coverage of the Bahrain protests
On September 5, 2012 with the help of journalist Glenn Greenwald, Lyon exposed that CNN International never aired her documentary, iRevolution, on the Bahrain uprising. In an article by Greenwald in The Guardian newspaper, Lyon accuses the network of censoring the documentary because the Bahrain regime is a paying customer at the network. The article also exposes that the government of Bahrain, as well as other governments throughout the world, are paying CNN for special content casting their countries in a positive light.
On September 29, 2012, Lyon appeared on the Infowars program. She described her investigation of how the US ally Bahrain was committing human rights abuses, but said that CNN and the US government pressured her to suppress the news. She said that Bahrain paid CNN for positive news coverage.Lyon said that Kazakhstan and Georgia also paid for positive coverage by CNN.
In March 2013, a report from the state-run Syrian Arab News Agency said the "Slovak main news website" reported Lyon claiming to have received orders from CNN to report selectively and falsely in order to sway public opinion in favor of direct American aggression against Iran and Syria, and that this was common practice at CNN

I like the fact that Amber Lyon helped to report the hypocrisy of CNN.
She and Glenn Greenwald (yes the same reporter associated with Edward Snowden) reported on how Bahrain had paid CNN with the support of the USA government to provide a positive image for Bahrain.
Essentially covering up and not airing her report on Bahrain's Human Rights atrocities.
Guess China is not willing to stoop so low as to pay CNN for positive coverage. Or the USA government is willing to pay well for negative news on China.
Either way, we Americans lose and China is continually bashed with biased reporting.

I found CNN reporters working in China disgusting. From the use of adulterated pictures and even photos that do not represent China to push their stories in the past is something that goes beyond bad ethics and moral. But is a shameful look at the American propaganda machine that works to denigrate the Chinese.
Last week when the CNN reporter failed to stop at a police barricade to get entrance to a courtroom that was off limits. The CNN reporter pushed and shoved his way past the obvious barricade and started pushing the Chinese police woman aside. After several other policemen came to assist her they took the CNN reporter away from the incident and left him to be free to go his way.
In America if anybody, journalist or private citizen ignored a police order and tried to go beyond a police barricade you would be arrested if not tasered and brutally treated. People have been killed for similar disturbances of the peace here.
CNN and other reporters should learn to respect the laws of other countries and work to promote ethics and truthfulness in journalism.
No wonder China has an eye on foreign journalists given their track record there.
