Karl Marx was born May 5, 1818 in the city of Trier in the Prussian Province of the Lower Rhine into a middle class Jewish family recently converted to Protestantism. The eventual father of scientific socialism would study philosophy at the University of Berlin. #OTD #Germany
May 5, 2021, marks the 203rd birth anniversary of one of Humanity's most influential & revolutionary thinker. Marx shall keep living amongst us till there exists classes, till there exists oppression, till there exists exploitation, till there exists inequality. Marx's revolutionary ideas shall continue to inspire the working class movements & struggles all over the world. His name will endure through the ages, and so also will his work.
