标题: 美地 [打印本页] 作者: indy 时间: 2020-7-7 12:40 标题: 美地 Anyone who has ever gone to Yosemite has a tunnel view picture or two. With El Capitan on the left and Bridalveil on the right and Half Dome in the distance. Granted, not the best picture I've ever taken, but it might have been the huge smile on my face got in the way. Looks like a fire in the distance as well. I don't remember, but I was thinking of the next stop (Bridalveil) and then El Capitan and the Meadow and then Yosemite Falls. Trying to see it all the first day and then again each day for the next 4 days. Running through Heaven must be like this. From our room at Yosemite Lodge, it was 15 minutes to the bridge at the Lower Falls. 4 or 5 times a day bathed in the sound of that falling water. Yep, heaven for this long time flat land Florida boy.
Our next few days were all a blur of Glacier Point, Vernal Falls, Tuolumne Meadow and Tenaya Lake. With a stop at Mariposa Grove.
Just when you think you have taken enough pictures, it's probably not enough. That's why it's good to follow groups that are posting pictures. Either photography or hiking groups keep that fix of views from Yosemite right on your phone.
I don't know when I'll get back. The virus this year has screwed up schedules for a couple years. Especially since no one knows when things will be back to normal, if ever. Hope springs eternal. I would like to get up to Nevada falls and to the top of Yosemite Falls. Pretty ambitious for someone in their 70s, or will be at the earliest possible return trip.
