理发师阿尔弗里多

下午去理发，等了一个半小时。因为星期二开学，所以今天等待理发的人很多，理发的师傅阿尔弗里多说他八点半都上班了，一直的到接近六点，还下不了班，连中午吃饭的功夫都没有。说起等待的人，阿尔弗里多说有一个哥们儿，今天等了他两个多小时。

店里今天有四个理发员，除了阿尔弗里多，还有一黑二白三个女的。阿尔弗里多因为理发的技术好，态度和蔼，喜欢和顾客聊天，又可以记得每个顾客的发型特点，因而平时点名让他理发的人也最多，今天尤其多。

不知怎么的，阿尔弗里多就和我聊起了工作态度的事，说要干一行爱一行，每天都要喜欢自己的工作，做事不后悔，因为要后悔的话，他现在就不做理发员了，因为他哥哥和另外一个好朋友，很早就挣够了钱退休养老了。而且每天要花至少五分钟做自己认为最重要的事，因为人生苦短，不可预见的事情太多。说着说着，就手舞足蹈地朗咏了一首英文诗给我，问我知不知道这首诗的名字，我说不知道，但每个文化，都应该有类似的励志诗或故事，劝人为善，催人上进的。

阿尔弗里多说，这首诗的名字叫《如果》，作者是个英国人，上网查一查，应该查的到。

果然，《如果》这首诗，是诺贝尔文学奖得主、英国童话作家Rudyard Kipling （吉卜林，1865-1936）的代表作，在西方世界，可以说是妇孺皆知的。

　 If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you

　　But make allowance for their doubting too,

　　If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
