【四州暴走记之四】站在温斯洛的街头

去温斯洛的第一目的是看大陨石坑。其实这个陨石坑在旗杆镇和温斯洛之间三分之二的位置上，离温斯洛更近一些，但还有十几里地。陨石坑和周围的地都是私人的，专门开了一个陨石坑公司来吸引游客赚钱。
当年阿波罗登月前NASA就是用这个坑来训练宇航员在月面着陆的技巧

看过大坑之后再开十几分钟就到了温斯洛镇里，作为老鹰的铁杆粉丝，俺就是要来看看温斯洛的这个十字路口。
专门为一首歌树个牌，搞个街边公园，乃们能不能悠着点？Take it easy...

这个公园的来历，讲起来也是个悲伤的故事。
在有40号州际公路之前，温斯洛也算是芝加哥到洛杉矶的66号公路上的一个重镇。自从三十年代黑风暴之后，大批中西部居民移居加州，绝大部分是自己开车沿着66号公路走的；往加州的各种货运车辆自然也走66号公路。而66号公路象州际公路系统出现前所有的旧公路一样，每到一地就从当地的主要街道穿城而过，温斯洛当然也不例外。每天川流不息的车队从城市商业区穿过，城里各种餐馆旅店各色商铺也是生意兴隆。想来老鹰当年街口一站就能看到不少美女的。
40号高速一开，虽然地图上看还是从温斯洛穿过，其实高速是在城市边缘经过的，要进城就要下高速出口。可是如果要加油，出口就有加油站；要吃饭，出口有麦当劳；要住店，离出口一条街的地方就有连锁旅店。温斯洛镇中心立刻就萧条了20年，福特卡车和美女都不再停留了，只剩下一首歌。这不，为了发展旅游业，生生搞了这个人造景点出来。这个地方弄出来十年后，又被一把火烧了，现在只有对着街面的墙还在。
你问了，为嘛不在高速上树广告牌宣传镇里的商店呢？因为美国的州际公路美化法规定只有在高速出口一定范围内的企业才能在高速上设路标，镇里的就一边玩去吧。
这个故事告诉我们，没有眼球就没有钱，烧钱骗来眼球也未必有钱{:soso_e127:}
话说回来，要是现在40号公路上那些动辄开80以上的车流回到温斯洛镇上来，恐怕就不是悲伤的故事，而是悲惨的故事了。
